- The rich and extensive program of events (a record calendar with 90 events in 3 days) attracted a new audience of Italian and international potential buyers.
- Over 300 artists and renowned representatives of the international music world took part in the exhibition with their performances and direct testimonies: from Nyman and Brendel to the artistic directors of some of the most important European orchestras (London Philarmonic, Bergen Philarmonic, European Festival Association, Piano City…)
- The guitar makes a wonderful debut: an explosive “village” with 42 performances and seminars during three days of non-stop activities that brought to Cremona the six strings community.
- Mondomusica confirms as the most International exhibition of the Italian trade fair system: 63% of exhibitors coming from abroad (28 represented countries).
Mondomusica and Piano Experience have become two of the most important events at global level for professionals, music enthusiasts and lovers of big handcrafted musical instruments. Two exhibitions that have reached this goal because of their excellent offer but especially for their ability to evolve and interpret the business trends of the Italian market of handcrafted musical instruments that is still experiencing a difficult period.
This year’s news opened the exhibition to a completely new audience
There have been two main novelties this year: an events programme focused on the use of new technologies and applications for the music field and the new section of the Acoustic Guitar Village.
Both initiatives have been organized by CremonaFiere with the help of its cultural and scientific advisors to bring to Cremona a public of new buyers for the exhibitors of both events.
We fully achieved our goal as demonstrated by the lively area dedicated to the six strings and the great number of participants to the workshops and seminars of the Music 2.0 Area who presented topics of great interest aimed at making young musicians familiarize with traditional instruments through the use of new technologies.
The congratulations of international professionals
The audience of Mondomusica and Piano Experience was, again this year, very international: 30% of the total of 15,296 visitors (+15% compared to 2013) came from abroad and, among them, there were some of the most renowned representatives of the music world. Great musicians and composers, such as Nyman and Brendel, have repeatedly shown their surprise for what they experienced during the fair, both in terms of displayed musical instruments and the atmosphere full of art and culture.
Antonio Piva, President of CremonaFiere said “Listening to the opinions of foreign professionals is very satisfactory for us because it tells us that we are making a good job in terms of international promotional activities. The presence of foreign journalists from United States, China, Japan, the Netherlands and UK is, for example, a great opportunity to promote our exhibitions at international level as well as the city of Cremona and the numerous music streets (strade della musica) that run through the entire Italian territory”.
Related profits for the city
The success of Mondomusica and Piano Experience produces positive consequences for the entire city, its economy and image. During the three days of the exhibition, Cremona was lively, international and full of activities and this is a positive element that strengthens its appeal at global level.
